The Common Application Online uses the AY i-Class application platform to send admissions applications to colleges.

The Common Application is a not-for-profit organization that serves students and member institutions by providing an admission application that students may submit to any of the organization’s over 300 members. The Common Application Online uses the AY i-Class application technology platform, giving students a secure and convenient way to apply for college. This allows applicants to spend less time on the busywork of applying for admission, and more time on what’s really important: college research, visits, essay writing, and senior year coursework. A new online school forms system will also be available for the first time for counselors and reference providers.

Hundreds of thousands of applicants access the Common Application online system each year. Last year over 1 million applications were submitted online. The Common Application Online’s membership represents the full range of higher education institutions in the US: public and private, large and small, highly selective and modestly selective, and East Coast, West Coast, and every region in between.
