Application Security
Every page rendered through the online application and all information
you send is encrypted using Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
Your browser may not show the typical "key" or "lock" icon
in the toolbar which indicates a secured page because the online
application may be displayed within a framed page on the institution's
Web site. If this is the case, you can verify the security by viewing
the properties of the online application page. To do this in Internet
Explorer, right-click on the page and select Properties from the
pop-up menu. In Netscape Navigator, select View Frame Info from
the View menu. Notice that the page is rendered using "https://" indicating
a secured server.
Application Privacy
We understand that applying to school requires you to divulge
a lot of personal information. We know that you provide the information
in your Application for the sole purpose of being admitted by the
institution, and we treat this information as sacrosanct. ApplyYourself
keeps all information in an Application confidential and only discloses
the entire Application to the appropriate participating institution
after you submit the Application. During the application process,
a participating institution may view a summary of your data if
you have elected to make it available prior to Application submission,
but only if you have indicated such on your applicant profile.
Please note that we have no control over the information in your
Application once you submit it to the school. We will also keep
your PIN and Password confidential. If you decide to pay the Application
fee to the institution via the online payment system that is part
of our Network (the Application will indicate whether the institution
you are applying to has decided to allow for online payment), then
for credit card billing purposes, we may need to share your name,
address, and other personal contact information with our billing
processor. You can rest assured that none of the information you
provide us will be sold to third parties for marketing purposes.
We may also use cookies to allow you to move more easily between
your Application and the Web.
